The UC Master Food Preserver Safety Manual provides guidance for volunteers on best practices to reduce the risk of injury or illness during UC Master Food Preserver-sponsored activities.
Fingerprinting Information
All UC Master Food Preserver Volunteers must be fingerprinted and pass a Department of Justice background check. Each entity requesting your fingerprints has its own reporting number; this is why you must complete this process even if you have been cleared by another organization in the past. The annual reappointment period for volunteers is from June 1 through June 30. One part of the process is to complete and pass the annual reappointment quiz with a minimum score of 85%. Use the 2025 study guide to answer the questions in the online quiz.
