Community members in the Central Sierra region are invited to learn about land use and policy affecting biomass opportunities. This event is hosted by University of California, Agriculture and Natural Resources and Tuolumne Resource Conservation District.

What will this session cover?

This will be the final session for this year’s biomass workshop series, but more exciting events are coming in 2026! In this session, we will focus on land use and policy, providing participants with knowledge on statewide policy efforts and land management. Hear from experts from UC ANR and Cal Fire about:

  • What are the state’s efforts in assisting landowners and businesses?
  • What else can I do with woody biomass on my land?
  • What can I do to better manage my land?
  • Bonus: What’s going on in agroforestry? What is virtual fence?

Webinar participants are invited to attend an in-person field day on Friday, October 10 in Sonora, CA.
