Garden Talk: The How, When, and Why of Basic Pruning (Albany)

Learn about the How, When and Why of basic pruning to maintain your woody plants and trees. This one-hour talk will cover the do and don'ts of pruning to maintain health, stimulate growth, as well as manage the shape and height of trees for ease of harvesting. We will demonstrate some basic pruning techniques by using one of the large plum trees at the Community Garden. This event is free.

The Albany Demo Garden is located behind the tennis courts at Ocean View Park in Albany. This event is outdoors and is subject to weather and UC Master Gardener's discretion. Please dress appropriately!
