Museum of the American Indian CalNat Course
Museum of the American Indian is offering the California Naturalist certification course in Marin County in Novato's Miwok Park. The Museum of the American Indian (MAI) in collaboration with UC Environmental Stewards is offering a new California Naturalist certification course designed to promote a greater understanding of California and Marin County's natural and cultural history. As it is the mission of the Museum of the American Indian to uplift, support, and make visible the Indigenous Peoples of the Americas, this course will incorporate Indigenous heritage tied to each class theme. The course will immerse you in California’s rich ecological and cultural history, as well as inspire a deeper understanding and appreciation of the Golden State’s natural ecosystems, wildlife, and resources.
Dates: Oct 20, 2025 - Dec 22, 2025 Mondays from 6:00-8:30 PM, plus 3 weekend field trips
Cost: $400 (A limited number of income-based scholarship monies may be available. Please email sara@marinindian.com to inquire.
