Join Jackson Demonstration State Forest Biologists to tour the best of Fall in the Forest! All are welcome, with no prior knowledge needed. Learn about the local mushroom, plant, and animal species that call the forest home. Please confirm your spot at JDSF@fire.ca.gov.
Note: To collect fungi, you must purchase a Mushroom Permit in advance. Obtain a permit application at www.fire.ca.gov or call (707)964-5674 for details.
Please prepare for variable weather and uneven terrain.

Where: Camp One Day Use Area in Jackson Demonstration State Forest
Directions: To get to the Camp One Day Use Area, turn north onto Forest Road 350 (coordinates for turnout are approx. 39.399691, -123.715609), then follow signs for approx. 3 miles to the Camp One Day Use Area. Google/Apple Maps may try to route you through the Parlin Fire Camp, which is not an accessible route.
