Master Gardener Training Coming in 2026

The UC Master Gardener Program of Inyo and Mono Counties is excited to announce its next Basic Training Course in 2026! This program is your opportunity to become a certified UC Master Gardener Volunteer—sharing your love of gardening while giving back to the Eastern Sierra community.

What the Training Offers

Our training provides a strong foundation in science-based horticulture, tailored to the unique conditions of the Eastern Sierra. Topics include:

  • Soils and composting
  • Vegetables and ornamentals
  • Sustainable gardening practices
  • Local gardening challenges and solutions

Along the way, you’ll connect with a welcoming community of gardeners who are eager to learn, grow, and share their knowledge.

Pre-Application Orientation

We’ll host a Pre-Application Orientation on October 15, 2025, at 6:00 pm (via Zoom). This session is a great chance to learn what to expect as a trainee, and ask questions before you apply. We will be sending out information on the meeting via email very soon.
