NPI presents at 34th Annual CACFP Conference

Nutrition Policy Institute researchers will attend and present at the 34th Annual CACFP Conference, Oct. 20-22, 2025 in Monterey, Calif. The conference brings together over 400 stakeholders and community members of the federal Child and Adult Care Food Program. NPI's longtime CACFP researcher, Lorrene Ritchie, will moderate the lunchtime keynote on Tues., Oct. 21, 1-2 p.m., "From Small Bites to Big Impact - Celebrating CACFP: Past, Present, & Future," featuring Caree Cotwright from University of Georgia. She will also be joined by NPI's Christina Hecht for a workshop on ultra-processed foods on Tues., Oct. 21, 4-5 p.m., "UPFs: What Are They, Why Should You Care – and What You Can Do About Them." Hecht will also be co-presenting a workshop with Sacramento State researcher Brian Currier on Tues., Oct. 21, 2:30-3:30 p.m., "Testing for Lead in California Licensed Childcare Tap Water: What Did We Learn?" NPI's new director, Hannah Thompson, will be at NPI's exhibitor booth on Tues., Oct. 21. Learn more and register for the conference online
