Ginkgo

The Ginkgo tree, also known as the maidenhair tree is the only living seed plant in the division Ginkgophyta, all others are extinct. It has quite a history as it is a living leaf fossil dating back 270 million years ago and is native to China.

Do you like mixed greens and bean sprouts? I do I love their flavor and textures in both sandwiches and salads. Unfortunately, the store-bought sprouts never last long, and often they are not available in the stores.

Anticipation

I have been growing orchid cactus, Epiphyllum, for several years and have even blogged about them in the past. Most of my plants have flowers that range from light pink to red to magenta. Several years ago my sister got herself, and my mother and I a small Epiphyllum 'King Midas'.
