One day it's freezing cold, another it's windy, today is cold, windy and raining; maybe tomorrow it will be sunny and warmer. The California winter, it's predictably unpredictable, from day to day. That's just my point of view.
I have noticed over the past few weeks, the leaves of daffodils (Narcissus spp.) poking up through the soil. A sure sign that spring is upon us. Just this morning, the flowers of a few daffodils are peeking out their yellow brilliance, but not fully blooming quite yet.
At the end of a recent visit to the Crocker Art Museum in Sacramento, I stopped by the Museum Store. Wondering into the children's space, I came across a terrific toddler's board book, Trees by Molly Hashimoto with text by Zoe Burke.
