Art in the Garden

Throw a little water, spatter a little paint, create a colorful garden painting! Come join us at Elkus Ranch and enjoy the garden while getting ideas for your Spatter Painting! You will create a beautiful work of art with watercolor and ink. At the end of the class, you will be guaranteed a one-of-a-kind piece, matted and ready to frame.

UC Master Gardener Presenter Kris Mason: Kris' love for art began in grade school where she doodled on her test papers hoping to keep the teacher from seeing her wrong answers. Her middle school teacher told her she would never be an artist, but her high school teachers loved what she created. As the president of the art club, she made all the stage props for plays and events. After running her own graphics business for 25 years and working in hospitality for 20, learning watercolor painting was her way to destress. She loves combining her art with her Master Gardener experiences.

Registration is required: Please click here. There is a $10 class fee for supplies. The class is limited to 25 attendees. Registration deadline: Oct 6 at 6:00 pm.
