New Volunteer Enrollment

New Adult Volunteer/Nuevo Voluntario

Listed here are the enrollment steps to enroll as a new 4-H adult volunteer. Please read through carefully. 
 
  1. Create an adult volunteer profile on Z Suite  

    Please note that the email address you enter in the Family email is the primary way you will receive communications from 4-H. 

     

  2. Complete the online 4-H Volunteer Interest Survey

  3. Complete a Live Scan background check with the California Department of Justice

    Call UCCE Office for the latest livescan document and process 707-234-6338

     

  4. New Volunteer Training 

    For volunteers starting their first year as a volunteer or coming back after a break of a year or more. The course includes essential parts of 4-H service, such as orientation, CANRA guidelines, and the 4-H Thriving Model for Positive Youth Development. Individuals will also learn about 2-Deep Supervision and how to create a safe and welcoming environment for all youth. 

    Course length: 1 hour and 35 minutes (can be done in multiple sessions). /

    The enrollment key is Mendocino with the capitalized M.

     

  5. Complete Payment

    *Please note: Some clubs cover their volunteers costs for enrollment and/or livescans. Please contact your club leader or UCCE office to confirm before making a payment. 

Pay your enrollment Fee.  Enrollment fees are $28.00 per adult volunteer and you can pay in one of two ways: 

 Option 1: Pay online with a credit card https://surveys.ucanr.edu/survey.cfm?surveynumber=46615  

Please note that the enrollment fee when paying by credit card is $30.50 instead of $28.00. This is to cover any credit card processing fees.

  1. Fill out survey with information requested. Be sure you’re adding in the correction amount of children and their names. Click Submit
  2. Once you click submit you’ll be taken to this page. You are not done yet.

  3. Click the “Charge $30.50” blue button to move onto the payment page.

  4. Add in payment information.
  5. Submit & Confirm. You’ll receive an email receipt automatically. Keep this in case we need to see it.

We are unable to issue any refunds once the online credit card enrollment fee payment has been completed! Please keep your payment confirmation record receipt.  

Our office will notify the Unit’s Community Club Leader, Enrollment Coordinator, and Treasure of any payments received under these surveys. 

 

Option 2: Pay by check 

Payable to UC Regents and delivered directly or mailed to the 4-H office.

Please make a note of who the enrollment fees are for. (Please note no enrollment fees should be given to the 4-H club leaders unless it is for direct delivery to the 4-H office.)

 

7. Approval

The Community Education Specialist or Regional Supervisor reviews and approves 4-H volunteer appointments after: 

  • You are signed up online via Z Suite
  • You have passed the screening process: DOJ & FBI Livescan
  • You complete all of the New Volunteer Training required in your county 

Once you are approved, the fun begins!  

  • Start connecting with 4-H families about your new role 

 

  1. Crear un perfil de voluntario adulto en Z Suite

    Tenga en cuenta que la dirección de correo electrónico que ingresa en el correo electrónico familiar es la forma principal en que recibirá comunicaciones de 4-H.

  2. Complete la Encuesta de interés de los voluntarios de 4-H en línea en inglés o español.

  4. Nueva entrenamento de voluntarios

    Para voluntarios que comienzan su primer año como voluntarios o regresan después de un descanso de un año o más. El curso incluye partes esenciales del servicio 4-H, como orientación, pautas de CANRA y el modelo próspero de 4-H para el desarrollo juvenil positivo. Las personas también aprenderán sobre 2-Supervisión profunda y cómo crear un ambiente seguro y acogedor para todos los jóvenes.

  5. Complete Payment

    *Tenga en cuenta: algunos clubes cubren los costos de inscripción y/o escaneos en vivo de sus voluntarios. Comuníquese con el líder de su club o con la oficina de UCCE para confirmar.

    ¡No podemos emitir ningún reembolso una vez que se haya completado el pago de la tarifa de inscripción con tarjeta de crédito en línea! Conserve el recibo del registro de confirmación de pago. Para voluntarios adultos, verifique que su unidad no esté pagando su inscripción antes de completar la opción de pago en línea con tarjeta de crédito. 

  6. Approval

    El Especialista en Educación Comunitaria o el Supervisor Regional revisa y aprueba las citas de voluntarios de 4-H después: 

  • Estás registrado en línea a través de Z Suite
  • Has pasado el proceso de selección: DOJ y FBI Livescan
  • Completa toda los entrenamentos para nuevos voluntarios requerida.

Una vez que hayas sido aprobado, ¡comienza la diversión!

  • Comience a conectarse con familias de 4-H sobre su nuevo rol.
