The last six months have brought a whirlwind of change, testing our resilience and adaptability both in our professional roles and personal lives. Amidst these shifts, I recognize that I haven’t been able to keep this blog as current as I would have liked. Today, I’m excited to reconnect and share some of the most important and timely updates from the WIB unit with our ANR community. Thank you for your ongoing dedication and flexibility as we continue to grow and move forward together.
SHARE YOUR VOICE OPPORTUNITY
This session (November 5 at 3 pm) will provide a last opportunity to share your experiences at UC ANR and contribute feedback to help the Inclusive Community Advisory Council, Workplace Inclusion and Belonging unit, and Senior Leadership create a more equitable and inclusive environment.
UC San Diego's Strategic Consulting, Assessment & Analytics (SCAA) has completed 10 focus group sessions for Latinx, LGBTQ+, Black, Gender-Diverse/Nonbinary, Multiracial, General All Employees, and Supervisor/Managerial staff. We are now excited to offer one final General Mixed Employees session, open to all UC ANR employees who have not yet participated, to help align our ANR@Work survey 2024 with your voice.

Council Name Change
With a steadfast commitment to fostering a truly inclusive and equitable environment, we are proud to announce that the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Advisory Council is now the Inclusive Community Advisory Council (ICAC). This name change reflects our unwavering dedication to creating spaces where everyone feels empowered, valued, and uplifted.
After thoughtful and robust discussions, our council reached a consensus to adopt the term “Inclusive Community.” This decision is more than a rebranding—it speaks to our central purpose: championing meaningful opportunities, impactful policies, and transformative programs that benefit every member of our organization. ICAC remains driven by the belief that inclusivity is essential to our collective success, and we are more committed than ever to shaping a workplace where all colleagues can thrive.
