Second Saturday Open Loomis Garden Day & Apple Extravaganza
About the Event
Master Gardeners focus on visitor’s education and create enthusiasm for water-wise, environmentally focused, and inspirational “Gardening for Today.” Our garden is a living classroom for the Placer County community that emphasizes sustainable gardening, integrated pest management and backyard food production. On Open Loomis Demonstration Garden Days, the 2nd Saturday of each month from 10 am to noon, Master Gardeners will be on hand to answer questions. Master Gardener docents will be in the garden from 10 a.m. to noon to answer gardening questions.
Apple Extravaganza: Come out and celebrate the season with us. Enjoy apple tasting, stamping, and fresh cider from our cider mill beginning at 10:00 a.m. Hear Mark Fowler share "Chasing Apples in Placer County at 11:45 a.m. Plus, visit the Hathaway Hills Orchards booth at the garden.
