- Prune in early winter (December–January)
- Ensure trees have constant moisture during winter rainy season; irrigate more deeply and less frequently (every 1–3 weeks) later in the year
- Monitor and control for common pests & diseases, such as bacterial canker disease, peach twig borer, San Jose scale, and mite eggs
