Borage-A Winter Surprise!

Initially, I was going to write about how lovely the Peruvian Lillies (Alstromeria) are this winter in my garden - beautiful blooms with tiger-like striping and amazing color. However, something else caught my eye in the garden today a blooming Borage (Borago officinalis).

Winter Delight: The Meyer Lemon Tree

What's not to like about the Meyer lemon? Fruit sized to fit in the smallest palm for squeezing and slicing. Juice with low acidity that's much sweeter than a Eureka lemon Attractive skin, the deep rich color of an egg yolk; its zest a spicy floral flavor.
