UC Cooperative Extension

The University of California Cooperative Extension (UCCE) is your local link to research, information, and expertise for the University of California. Instead of teaching students in classrooms, UCCE advisors, academics, educators and staff work directly with people in San Luis Obispo County. Since 1922, when the San Luis Obispo County Board of Supervisors officially established a partnership with UCCE, we have been part of a nationwide network of educators and scientists dedicated to the development and application of knowledge to address local agricultural, environmental, youth development and health issues. By working and living among those we serve, UCCE expands UC's reach to engage all people and communities in California, ensuring more access to the UC system. To learn more, view our UCCE San Luis Obispo County Annual Report (PDF).
