Dairy Replacement Heifer Project
The 4-H, FFA, Grange and Independent Exhibitors Dairy Replacement Heifer project allows youth to raise and sell a quality dairy heifer and, in doing so, learn the fundamentals of dairy heifer husbandry and management.
This project is available for participation to any 4-H, FFA, Grange and Independent Exhibitor member in the following Counties: Glenn, Tehama, Butte, Shasta, and Colusa.

2025-2026 Springer Ownership Deadline & Breeding Dates
To be eligible to sell at the 2026 Glenn County Fair, please reference the dates below.
Breeding dates: Wednesday, August 20, 2025, to Tuesday, November 4, 2025
Springer Ownership Deadline: Monday, December 1, 2025

Project Details & Forms
All heifer projects will sell at the Glenn County Fair. There are three different options within this project:
- Junior Calf (90- 120 days old)
- Yearling Heifer (11- 14 months old)
- 2-year-old Springer (20-26 months old)
Please be sure to read the applications thoroughly for all deadlines and requirements.
FORM A
The Dairy Replacement Heifer Agreement - Form A is due on the first Friday of December (Friday, December 5, 2025) by 5:00 p.m. Please submit the completed form to: (Form link coming soon)

All completed forms must be uploaded to the appropriate Google form to be considered submitted, paperwork will not be accepted at the Glenn County UCCE Office or by email.
FORM B - Calves & Yearlings - Due FRIDAY, MARCH 6, 2026
Calves & Yearlings will be the first Friday of March (Friday, March 6, 2026), visit: (Form link coming soon)
FORM B - Springers Only
The deadline for FORM B for Springers Only will be the first Friday in December. Please complete Form B for Springers ONLY at: (Form link coming soon)

Genomic Tissue Samples must be turned into the Glenn County UCCE Office.
