UC Hansen Agricultural Research and Extension Center (HAREC) is located in Camarillo, a few miles east of the Pacific Ocean. HAREC is one of University of California Agriculture and Natural Resources (UC ANR) nine Research and Extension Centers (RECs). Each has unique ecological resources and connects research and extension activities to regional challenges and issues.
HAREC Moves to Camarillo

In December 2022, the University of California (UC) acquired a 114-acre farm property on the west side of Camarillo to become the new home of HAREC, supported by an endowment bequeathed to the University of California by Saticoy farmer Thelma Hansen.
